Option 1

If an individual is exercising right on his/her behalf, please follow the following procedure to verify your identity by responding to CCPA Form confirmation of receipt email.

Option 2

If an individual is designating another to exercise CCPA rights on his/her behalf, the individual essentially needs to present a power of attorney compliant with CA’s probate code that identifies that individual has been authorized by the requestor to act on his/her behalf.  A power of attorney is legally sufficient if all of the following requirements are satisfied:

(b) The power of attorney is signed either (1) by the principal or (2) in the principal’s name by another adult in the principal’s presence and at the principal’s direction.
(c) The power of attorney is either (1) acknowledged before a notary public or (2) signed by at least two witnesses who satisfy the requirements of California Probate Section 4122.
